Kaleigh Dickson of Louisiana State University tore the plantar fascia in her right foot while performing a gymnastics routine at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional. In spite of the senior’s injury, her squad was able to set a national record, which earned them the chance to compete in the NCAA Championships.
Due to Dickson’s injury, coach D-D Breaux wants to bring in reserve members of the squad in order to find suitable contenders in the floor and vault categories. Dickson is one of her team’s best gymnasts and may only participate in two events as a result of her condition.

What is Plantar Fasciitis?
Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the connective tissues on the bottom of the foot, causing pain in the heel and arch of the foot.
