RESIDENT (PSR-12)

  • Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency which included preoperative,intra-operative care of multiple podiatric issues which included elective and surgical procedures (bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, heel spurs, etc) tonon-elective surgical procedures (osteomyelitis, fractures, etc).
  • The Residency program allowed for OR exposure with 30+ different attendingsat four hospitals.
  • The resident formulated a surgical plan with an attending for patients undergoing surgery.
  • The Residency allowed for OR exposure to newer surgical products (external fixation, memodyne staples, symphony bone products, etc.)
  • There was OR exposure to reconstructive forefoot, midfoot and rearfoot surgery (pan metatarsal fusion, flatfoot reconstruction, charcot reconstruction)

RESIDENT (POR)

  • Podiatric Orthopedic Residency which included a great deal of clinic exposure to Diabetic foot diseases (Ulcer care, Charcot foot, Neuropathy, and PVD).
  • Encountered many Podiatric Orthopedic problems such as plantar fasciitis,bunions, hammertoes, and neuromas which were treated both conservatively and surgically.
